NIELIT Patna is an autonomous Scientific Society under the administrative control of Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MoE&IT). Established in 2008, the institute is operated  from its Permanent Campus at Bihta(Near IIT Patna). Nearly 19000 employees have been trained in this campus so far. National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, Patna is also implementing programs under  ‘Kaushal Vikash’ mission of the Government of Bihar that aims to train 3.75 lakh unskilled youths of the district.

The institute aims to be the single source for quality assurance in computer education among the nation's non-formal institutes. NIELIT is now being extended to all parts of the nation and also overseas. NIELIT also aims to become the premier institution for examination and certification in the field of Information, Electronics and Communications Technology. The institute offers short-term and long-term certification courses across multiple disciplines.

NIELIT Patna Admission

National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology Patna offers admission for admission_year online. All the short-term courses are of between 1-6 months duration while all the long-term courses go upto 1 year. Post diploma course is of 2 years duration. To enroll in any of these certification courses, the candidate needs to clear a general test conducted by the institute.

NIELIT Patna Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria differs fo every certificate course. Some of the criteria are detailed below. 

Cyber Shikshaa Course(Virtual mode)

• Candidate must have completed B.E/B.Tech in CSE/IT/ECE or MCA.
• Family income should be less than 7 Lakhs/annum.
• Only  Female candidates from Tier-II/ Tier-III Cities of India are eligible.

Basic Computer Course

• Candidate must have passed grade 8. 

NIELIT ‘O’ Level (S/W)

• Candidate must have passed 10+2.
