Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo-Vedic (PGDAV) College is one of the oldest constituent colleges of the top-ranking university of Delhi. PGDAV Evening College is a member of the DAV family of institutions. The evening classes were started on 18 July 1958 with a mission to provide quality higher education to employed students. The objective of the college is not just to help the students to excel academically but lead them to an overall development so that they mature into responsible human beings and citizens. The college subscribes to the view that the aim of education is to imbibe values leading to good character. Particular emphasis is laid on the moral and ethical growth of the students.

Throughout the academic year, students of PGDAV Evening College are engaged in Cultural activities of their interest through various extracurricular committees. College holds a cultural festival every year. The college runs from 3 pm to 9 pm. The college offers 7 undergraduate programs taught by 12 departments in the disciplines of humanities, commerce, computer science, and mathematical sciences. PGDAV Evening College admission also offers postgraduate courses in Commerce, Hindi, Mathematics, and Political Science. The placement cell is visited by various companies like IBM, HP, ICICI, Jio, Muthoot Finance, Policy Bazaar, and many more. 

PGDAV Evening College UG Admission 2024

PGDAV Evening College offers undergraduate degrees in Science, Humanities, and Commerce. The duration of all courses at the undergraduate level is 3 years. The intake for the undergraduate degrees is 500 students for the humanities courses in total, for the general humanities program, 328 students for B.Com, and 36 students for B.Sc Mathematics.

Admissions to undergraduate courses at the college are merit-based. Admission at the PGDAV is conducted through the University of Delhi. Applicants should have passed individually in each subject required, in the 12th standard examination.

PGDAV Evening College Application Form 2024

Admission to the courses at PGDAV Evening College is conducted online. All applicants are required to register themselves on the DU’s online portal. The admission fee is based on the PGDAVC fee structure. 

  • Any first time user, in order to access the admission portal, needs to register on the portal. With a valid email id, they can easily register and generate login details by clicking on the 'New User Registration' button.
  • After logging in to the portal, the applicant needs to upload a passport size photo, their scanned signature, identity proof, and statement of marks from their last qualifying examination. 
  • After their preliminary documents are verified, the applicant can apply for their preferred course, which will be merit-based, entrance test-based, or both merit & entrance test based.  
  • After saving their application, they can pay the admission fees. 
  • Application for multiple courses requires separate application forms. 
  • For certain courses, applicants are required to provide a preference for colleges. Not all courses are offered to all colleges of Delhi University. At this point, the applicant can choose PGDAV Evening College.
  • Applicants will be required to appear in person at the University of Delhi only at the very end of the admission process, for verification of certificates.
