The college is affiliated with the University of Mumbai and recognized by the AICTE and the Government of Maharashtra. The College was given an 'A' grade by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra

Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research aims to build environmentally-friendly technical managers and responsible leaders and direct them to seek excellence from an Indian and global perspective.
