A minimum of 50% is required to grant admission to the institute, but the maximum intake is 30. I had a score of 70% and was the final Candidate in 2014 to register under the Centralised Admission Procedure (CAP) of the University of Calicut. You also have an option to apply under management quota.
Fees & Scholarships :
In 2014, SAFI Institute of Advanced Study, Malappuram Fee Structure. The fee for my course is Rs 30,000 per year. However, as per the university regulation, the fee has been raised to 60,000.
There are multiple scholarships Options that you can apply with the course. More than 60% of the students in my batch received a scholarship in 2014.
Academics & Faculty :
Regular classes start from 9:30 Am. The faculty includes well-qualified teachers. However, when it comes to choosing the specialisation, I had to go with the majority due to limited faculty.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is in close proximity to the Institute. They provide separate hostel facility for women and men. The locality also offers many options that are really cheap. The food is prepared at the Canteen and served fresh and the average cost per meal is not more than Rs. 50.
Classrooms are well furnished, ventilated and use white Boards. They have a dedicated Standalone Library as well. Overall Infrastructure is impressive.
Clubs & Associations :
SIAS is a good place for learning. The surrounding hills, the green and clean environment, good infrastructure all together gives us a good vibe to keep up with. There are unions, social welfare and other management and science fests that are held on a regular basis.
