Hostel: The university is committed to providing residential hostel housing to the outstation students. The Sikkim university hostel is equipped with the required facilities for their academic and personal development. Currently, Sikkim University has the following hostels, which serve around 400 students.

Health Care Centre: Sikkim University has a health centre next to the Kanchendzonga Management Block on the 6th mile in Tadong, Gangtok. The health centre now has three rooms and five employees, including a chief medical officer, a senior medical officer, a staff nurse, a nursing attendant, a pharmacist, and an MTS.   • The outpatient clinic caters to the outpatient needs of students, staff, and their dependents. Minor operations are also performed at the same time. It is open on weekdays from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.
  • Students, employees, and their dependents have access to emergency services. Telephonic consultations are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Daycare facilities are available for students, staff, and their families in the clinic. 
  • The dispensary has all necessary medications, oral and injectable. The pharmacist dispenses drugs based on the medical officer's prescription.
  • An ambulance or vehicle is available in a medical emergency.

Gymnasium: The Sikkim University campus area has a gym equipped with the latest equipment. It is open to students and employees six days a week. For male and female users, separate shifts have been maintained. Gym instructors keep an eye on the participants and give constant supervision. A fitness declaration certificate from the university medical officer must be submitted with the membership form. To provide and maintain the best gym facilities for its students, teaching and non-teaching staff, a modest sum is levied from the students and staff.

Transport: Sikkim University provides free, continuous bus service to students and staff to facilitate easy travel between academic blocks, the library, hostels, and the health centre, among other locations. Four buses run at specified intervals between their starting point and conclusion point. Even on weekends and holidays, one bus connects 7th Mile and Gangtok. There are several pick-up stations between the starting point and the endpoint where passengers can board the buses.

Guest House: Sikkim University facilities include a guest house with 18 decent rooms. The breathtaking panoramic view of Gangtok town and Paljor stadium is wonderfully rejuvenating. The guest home, which is only a 10-minute walk from MG Marg, Gangtok's main shopping district, includes 1 VIP suite, 2 super deluxe rooms, and 15 deluxe rooms and can accommodate up to 30 visitors at any given time. The entire building is Wi-Fi enabled. Each room has an LED TV, intercom connectivity, a cupboard, a reading table, and other amenities. The dining hall on the bottom floor is well prepared to provide hot, healthy, and delicious cuisine to visitors. In addition, the entire building is monitored by CCTV to ensure the guests' safety and security. The building is equipped with a regular elevator and a heavy-duty generator that ensures power outages cause no inconvenience.

Library: Sikkim University library occupies more than 9000 square feet and can hold over 70,000 books. The university library serves as the hub and index for academic operations. The concept of a modern library entails using new technology to expand and simplify services to the maximum pleasure of users, which the library has accomplished.
