I have done workshops on creative writing. Our college also provides add-on courses with valid certificates. Our college has also secured 47th rank in NIRF 2020 and 4th highest from Kerala. The notable alumni include K.R.Gowri Amma, former minister of the Kerala Government.
Entrance Exams & Admissions :
The eligibility criteria for my course (BA English Literature) is that we must be passed the 12th exams in any subject stream. There were 50 seats. Further qualifications from entrance exams are not needed, and the Minimum cut off mark is 45%.
Fees & Scholarships :
St Teresa's College (Autonomous), Ernakulam Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 2 Lakh.
St. Teresa's College provides several scholarship opportunities for students which include Central Sector Scholarship, The Kerala State Higher Scholarship, Minority Welfare Scholarship, etc. Loans are not necessary for studying in this college.
Academics & Faculty :
The classes commence at 8.30 am in the morning and ends at 2.30 pm. There are several interesting assignments and projects for students to have a memorable college life. There are 3 exams in one semester which include 2 internals and the semester ending the exam. There are a total of 6 semesters of the bachelor degree program. The classes are taken by well-experienced teachers.
The overall campus experience is wonderful with memories to cherish and numerous opportunities to become successful and responsible individual.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
There are three hostels in two buildings. The hostel fee is around INR 21,000 and INR 3,000 per month mess fees. The food in the hostel is rated to be adequate. The classrooms and labs are very good; we also have a virtual library.
Clubs & Associations :
There are a lot of clubs for students to participate in and gain experience. We have the Student Union for the elected leaders. Other clubs to enhance the talents of students include The Poets Club, The Writers' Forum, The Bhoomithrasena Club for outdoor gardening etc. There is the yearly conduct of Youth Festival where students of different colleges compete for the title. With all the events and clubs, St. Teresa's College is an amazing platform for students to study and make new friends.
