Job Outlook
The future looks bright in the nursing field. The outlook for new Registered Nurses is exceptionally good; the number of new jobs for registered nurses is expected to increase at a rate far greater than that of most other jobs in coming years. Healthcare in India is estimated to have a 40-50 percent shortage of nurses. An important profession within medicine, nursing supports patients with critical illnesses, chronic diseases and psychiatric illnesses in public and private settings. Within a hospital or non-hospital setting, nurses are crucial to the healthcare industry.
