Academics & Faculty :
9:00 am-6:00 pm daily,semester wise projects are given, assignments are given regularly and exams are conducted in semester wise in TISS, Mumbai.
The quality of teaching is good, method- lectures, field visit and workshop and seminars are regularly conducted.
It is good in terms of knowledge building, learning new techniques and methods which would be helpful for disaster resilience.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
6 hostels(3 for boys, 3 for girls) Rs.17500 per semester is the hostel fee for TISS, Mumbai.
PGs are easily available nearby the campus, cost per month ranges from 6000-10000 INR per head.
Food served in the dining hall is good, cost per meal is Rs.50.
Classrooms are spacious and well equipped. It can accommodate 40 students easily, it is provided with proper writing boards, projector, benches, the lab is well equipped with desktops and software required for practical knowledge , library is one of the best in India it holds about 123,000 books in principle domains of social sciences and e-journals ,articles and magazines . Apart from books it has a special library for visually challenged and hearing impaired students, cyber library with 100 computers help students in accessing online catalogs.
WiFi connectivity is good with fast connectivity and the institute has gymkhana for the students, sms canteen open till 2:00 am, health center, disability friendly campus.
Clubs & Associations :
Student-run societies run mainly related to social sciences which look upon different social issues, peer support group, cultural ,sports and literary, environmental club, pet welfare society are in TISS, Mumbai.
Quintessence, institute day and some festivals are celebrated( world indigenous day, mosaic, Ambedkar Jayanti), different schools have their own festivals like Manthan, clairvoyance, nostos, ibteada.
Hectic academic life but students do get time for recreational activities and stress buster before every semester exams.
