Kashmir University was established in 1948 under the University of Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmir University results have been released for various UG courses. Kashmir University admissions for programmes offered through Distance mode are open now. Admission 2024 for MTech, LLB, BTech(Lateral entry), MPharm, LLM, and BA LLB is in process. The university accepts scores of entrance examinations such as JEE Main, GATE, CMAT, and GPAT for admission to the B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, and M.Pharm programs.

KU has been re-accreditated by NAAC with an "A" grade for portraying high-quality standards in teaching and research. It offers 107 courses at UG, PG, and doctoral levels. Kashmir University Departments

Kashmir University offers various UG and PG in all the significant faculties, such as applied sciences & technology, biological sciences, physical & material sciences, engineering, arts, business & management studies, education, law, social sciences, medicine, dentistry, oriental learning, and music & fine arts. These departments are grouped under 12 schools, and two faculties are tabulated below.

Kashmir University Admission

Kashmir University admission 2024 is ongoing. The admissions to courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, and M.Pharm are based on the entrance exams such as JEE Main, GATE, CMAT, and GPAT. About 67% of the total seats in a course or a program are filled by open merit category candidates, and the remaining 33% by reserved classes. Foreign or NRI students will not have to go through the entrance exam of Kashmir University for admission.

Kashmir University Eligibility Criteria

Kashmir University has different eligibility criteria for different courses, and the students must qualify to get admission to the college. The eligibility criteria for some of the courses are mentioned below.

B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 

• The candidates should have passed 10+2 in the relevant subjects, with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
• The accepted exam is JKCET.

MBA Eligibility Criteria 

• The candidates should have a bachelor's degree in any stream with at least 50% marks.

M.Ed Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates should have passed B.Ed with a minimum teaching experience of 3 years from a recognized educational institute.
• 50% of the seats are reserved for candidates with no teaching experience after B.Ed and who have obtained a minimum aggregate of 55%.

The university conducts the exams on a semester basis, i.e. twice a year.
