IIT stands for Indian Institute of Technology, and IIST stands for Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology. Both the institutes provide B.Tech courses. IITs offer advanced technological knowledge. As the name suggests, IIST concentrates on aviation and space technology. However, the scope and job prospects are wide for IITians.
