AFCAT 2 2021 Merit List Declared, Courses to Begin in July 2022

The Indian Air Force (IAF) organizes the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) for selecting candidates for the Air Force Academy (AFA). The IAF released the AFCAT 2 2021 Merit List yesterday, May 26, 2022. Be that as it may, candidates must acknowledge that being included in the merit list does not guarantee admission. Besides, this list has been released without factoring in – the candidate’s medical test. The final merit list, comprising candidates selected for programs at AFA, will be declared soon. The list would consider – the order/rank of merit, the candidate’s medical test, i.e., fitness, and the candidate’s preferred branch. AFCAT 2 2021: Merit List

The list includes 394 candidates shortlisted and recommended to the AFA. Applicants who made it to the list were from AFCAT, NCC Entry, Service Entry Commission, and Metrology. The programs are starting on July 22 at the AFA. Albeit, the final admission list will be released prior. It will contain the course-by-course entries of candidates based on their order of merit.

Moreover, students must beware that this merit list, recommended by AFSBs, is tentative and does not guarantee a seat at the academy. The authorities will announce the final admissions list after considering: –

1. Checking the merit order.
2. Then the candidate’s medical fitness test.
3. Followed by the branch preferred or selected by the candidate.
4. Finally, the seat availability of that particular branch at the AFA.

AFCAT 2022: Latest Notification & Applications

As per the most recent circular by the Air Force, the AFCAT 2022 applications will commence from June 1. Aspirants must fill out the application forms before the due date, viz., June 30, 2022. Moreover, the application window closes by 5 PM on June 30. Furthermore, the application fee is ₹ 250 for all categories. 

The AFCAT 2 2021 is for candidates seeking to join the Academy in July 2022. Similarly, the AFCAT 2022 is for those seeking admission in July 2023. The academy will recruit officers for Ground & Flying duties. In addition, both technical and non-technical branches will be open for admissions.
