The Assam State Board published the class 10 and 12 evaluation criteria framework on 1 July 2021. Check out the detailed information here
The Assam State Board has published the class 10 and 12 evaluation criteria framework today, 1 July 2021. The board will release the results compiled using the following criteria framework to qualify students for further education. The Assam state board cancelled the class 10 and 12 board exams due to the resurgence of COVID-19 within the state. The cancellation occurred soon after the CBSE board cancelled the CBSE class 12 board exam on 1 June 2021. Due to the cancellation of exams, the board formed two committees to suggest an alternative evaluation framework for results. Last week, the officials in charge of the criteria framework submitted their reports for evaluation.
Earlier in the day, Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pengu gave a statement regarding the evaluation criteria. As quoted, “The evaluation formula for SEBA AHSEC’s HSLC-HSSLC will be officially announced in the evening today via official notification…” Additionally, the board will publish the final board results for classes 10 and 12 by 31 July 2021.
Assam Class 10 and 12 Results Framework
Regarding the class 10 evaluation framework, the board will evaluate 10th class students based on academic performance in both classes 9 and 10. Marks from class 9 will contribute 40% of total weightage to the final marks. Additionally, assessments from class 10 will provide 40% weightage to the scores. Finally, the internal assessments in class 10 will give 20% weightage to the evaluation. In case class 10 marks are not available, class 9 will expand to 70% of the weightage.
As for the Assam class 12 2021 results, 50% of marks will derive from the “best of 3” class 11 subjects. Second, internal evaluations in subjects without practicals will contribute 40% of the marks. Additionally, the subjects counted for internal evaluation are Arts, Science, and Commerce related.
