BHU Now Accepting UG Admissions by CUET, More Information Here
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will now accept Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission into its various undergraduate courses.
BHU has recently announced that they will conduct upcoming UG admissions through CUET. The University has also released an information bulletin on its website regarding the same. Candidates can log in to cuet.samarth.ac.in to register themselves. Earlier, the university took UG admissions through BHU-UET.
The authorities stated that “The BHU-UET 2022 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in. Admissions will be subject to fulfillment of eligibility requirements of the course for which the candidate has applied.”
The last date to apply for the CUET 2022 is 6th May. Meanwhile, authorities have scheduled the exam for the first or second week of July 2022. What is the BHU 2022 Eligibility Criteria?
The eligibility criteria to apply for the various courses at the university will be based on merit in the BHU-UET 2022. However, students also must fulfill the eligibility requirements of the course for which they have applied. Candidates must have passed class 12th with at least the minimum prescribed marks by the authorities.
For admission into BA (Hons), they must have passed 12th with at least 50% aggregate marks. For B.Com. (Hons.), candidates must have passed 12th with at least 50% aggregate marks in certain applicable subjects such as commerce/ economics/ computer science and others.
Reservation Policy for UG 2022 Admissions
The college has some supernumerary “paid seats” (not exceeding 15% of the total number of seats) in certain courses. Concerned department will have detailed information regarding the same. But, there is no such provision is available for Special Courses. Thus, only the passed candidates can get seats against such courses.
