CAT Result 2022: Two questions from the DILR section of the CAT exam will not be considered for the CAT result 2022, conducted on Nov 27, 2022. These questions were found to be confusing and were removed from evaluation, according to the examination committee. IIMCAT website posted the announcement online. Three sessions of the CAT 2022 exam were held on Nov 27. In shifts 2 and 3, the two ambiguities were visible.
"The CAT Committee has determined that two questions from the DILR section—one from the Nov 27, 2022 shift two and one from the Nov 27, 2022 shift 3—will not be considered for evaluation.
According to the official announcement, applicants' scores for the DILR portion during these shifts would be prorated based on how they answered the balance questions. The choice to eliminate the two DILR questions from the CAT 2022 test may have been made in response to criticisms of the test's official answer key, which was made public on Dec 1.
The CAT DILR part has 20 questions; however, only 18 will count toward the final score. The 64 CAT questions will be the foundation for creating the final answer key and CAT Result 2022.
Since the exam officials have already announced the change of answer keys, the CAT result may be released earlier than normal this year. CAT results are typically released during the first week of January. The IIMCAT website will host the online announcement of the CAT 2022 results, and scorecards will be accessible for download.
