CBME 2023 Guidelines for MBBS Admissions: Major Changes
According to previous CBME 2023 Guidelines for MBBS Admissions, candidates pursuing MBBS were required to score at least 50% marks in subjects with two papers to be considered passing. However, due to NMC's verdict, this rule has been revised, and the passing marks have been reduced to 40%.
Previously, the candidate had to score 50% in both theory and practical. Under the NMC Revised Guidelines for MBBS Admission 2023, the candidate only needs to score an aggregate of 50%, where in theory, the candidate must score at least 60 %, and in practical, they should score at least 40%.
Candidates must note that by practical examination it is meant either practical, clinical or viva voce, as per the exam and syllabus pattern.
