Students across the country are demanding 50% weightage for internal assessment scores, across all education boards.
Students across the country are demanding 50% weightage for internal assessment scores, across all education boards. For CBSE and CISCE Term 2 Board exams students have appealed to authorities through twitter.
The current batch of students is giving board exams for the second time in this session. However, they are still not clear about the evaluation scheme for the final results of their exams. As per the appeals being made on social media, it is clear that the majority of the students want central and state boards to give 50% weightage to internal assessment and the remaining weightage to Term 1 and Term 2 board exams.
Moreover, after the reports of cheating in CBSE Term 1 board exams students appealed to reduce the sectional weightage of the Term 1 exam. They have asked for 30% weightage to be given to Term 1 scores in the final results. Both CBSE and CISCE are conducting the exam in the same pattern this year. For now, it is confirmed that the final results will be based on Term 1, Term 2, and Internal Assessment marks.
However, none of the boards have issued any clear notice about the evaluation process.
Furthermore, students are claiming that the covid pandemic has affected their studies since physical classes started only recently. Students have further said that their learning has been affected because of attending online classes for such a long period. A large section of students and activists are trending #InternalAssessmentforAll2022 on Twitter.
