The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will likely announce the class 10 and 12 term 1 exam schedule shortly. The November and December 2021 assessment timetable will be available online on the official website, cbse.gov.in. Additionally, the board plans to formulate the schedule in a flexible manner in consideration of the pandemic situation. Thus, board-affiliated schools can choose a convenient examination date from the provided scheduling window for both classes ten and twelve.
Earlier, CBSE officials released the term 1 exam format, which featured several new additions. Starting this year, there will be two separate term exams, each of which will cover half of the total syllabus. Thus, the first-semester board exam will assess students on the first half (50%) of the CBSE syllabus. In addition, the exams will take place within registered schools to facilitate the convenience of transportation for candidates. However, the board plans to appoint external invigilators to oversee the assessments. Sample papers for the term assessments are also available on the official website, cbse.gov.in. As shown through the sample questions and the marking scheme, the assessments will be in a multiple-choice format. The questions will assess students based on both assertion-reasoning and case studies.
