The CLAT examination aims to facilitate admissions into integrated LL.B. and LL.M. programmes offered by participating NLUs across the country. Admissions to CLAT-affiliated NLUs are based on the centralised CLAT counselling facility. Therefore, authorities will allot seats to qualifying applicants based on marks secured in the CLAT exam. Afterwards, applicants whose names appear on the CLAT merit list will be eligible for counselling. In addition, authorities will conduct the CLAT counselling process in four rounds.
