After much anticipation, the NLUs have released the third merit list for UG and PG Law Programmes. The Consortium of National Law Universities has released the merit list of CLAT 2022 today, July 12, 2022. All participating National Law University can avail of the CLAT merit list. The candidates whose names are there on the third merit list have to complete the CLAT 2022 Counselling and further admission process by July 13, 2022.
Candidates who fail to secure their name on the third merit list can check out the fourth round. On July 16, 2022, the fourth round seat allotment list will be released.

Steps to Check Seat Allotment Results
Clat 2022 third merit list released. Candidates can follow the steps below to check their seat allotment list.
- Visit the official CLAT website.
- Click on “CLAT Seat Allotment” on the Homepage.
- Enter your password and mobile number.
- Next, Candidates need to click on the login button.
- A window with a seat allotment list will appear. Candidates can check the status of their seat allotment.
Alternatively, Candidates can also log in to their CLAT account to check the seat allotment results. After logging in to their account, they need to go to the admission status to check the seat allotment.
CLAT 2022 Counselling: Seat Allotment Process
The selected Candidates in the third round can do any of the three options mentioned.
Accept the Allotment
After getting a seat, Candidates need to complete the further admission process. However, they need to submit the required documents during the admission process and pay the fees per the instructions. Candidates who complete this process will secure a seat and will not be considered for an upgrade in upcoming rounds.
Apply for an Upgrade
Candidates who are unhappy with the seats they get can apply for an upgrade. However, they will go to the next round of the selection process and receive a different NLU than the one primarily assigned to them. Candidates who are upgrading have to take the few mentioned steps to secure a seat:
- Log in to the CLAT 2022 login portal.
- Upload the required documents
- Pay the assigned fees and reserve your seat.
Exit the Admission Process
Candidates not interested in going any further with the admission process for CLAT 2022 can avail this option. Candidates who drop out of this admission process will not be considered for any further admission rounds to CLAT 2022.
The remaining Candidates who have not received seats yet are advised to wait for the fourth round.
