CUET 2022 Caused No Adverse Impact on Academic Calendar, No Delay in Studies: Education Ministry

CUET 2022: The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) was conducted from Jul 15 to Sep 11, 2022. The common entrance test was introduced this year for admission to various UG courses offered by universities across the country. Around 14.9 lakh candidates registered for the CUET UG 2022 exam, while 9,68,202 students appeared for the exam.

According to the Ministry of Education, CUET 2022 was held on time and didn't delay the academic session 2022-23. The admission process for several universities was initiated just after the announcement of the CUET result 2022. As stated by an official, the admission process for Delhi University (DU) commenced earlier than last year. Furthermore, CUET allows students to apply to more than one university with a single form, resulting in cost efficiency.

CUET UG 2022 faced some difficulties due to the exam cancellation at some examination centres because of technical and geo-climatic issues. However, the exam for those days was rescheduled. Further, a committee of experts comprising professors of IITs and the central university has suggested improvements in the conduct of CUET 2022, which will lead to the smooth conduction of the entrance exam next year. The NTA authorities will soon release the notification for the CUET UG 2023.
