It is speculated that Delhi University (DU) will begin registrations for admissions in the third week of July. These admissions will offer entry to entrance test-based and postgraduate courses. Thus, registrations will begin at least a week before the start of the other undergraduate admissions.
Additionally, the Supreme Court on 24 June has directed all state boards to declare their class 12 results by 31 July. It further asked them to notify the evaluation scheme within 10 days.
Rajeev Gupta, chairman of Delhi University admissions, told PTI, “We might start the registration process (for admissions) by the third week of July. There is a chance that we might start the registration process for the nine entrance-based courses and postgraduate courses by that time in the first phase and then the registration process for the merit-based courses. The gap between the two phases won’t be more than a week or 10 days.”
However, he also said that all state boards may not be able to release Class 12 results by July 31. The university has also released its one-year report card on Monday, 28 June 2021. The report card mentioned that the university conducted the admission process entirely online last year due to the COVID-19 situation. Henceforth, students don’t have to physically visit the college for admissions.
The university stated that students used online platforms for the admission process. Thus, students had accessed the admission list, payment of fees, etc. from the comfort of their homes. The university additionally verified the documents online. As quoted, “The university devised ways, with its resources and expertise, to meet novel challenges, offering appropriate solutions at every step of the way.
