DU Admission 2022: Annual UG Registration Reduces By Almost 30%

DU Admission 2022: Delhi University saw around 2.17 lakh registrations in 2022, compared to 2.87 lakh registrations in 2021. With the onset of CUET UG 2022 exams, a significant drop has been noticed regarding the final enrollments at the DU colleges. Previously, DU used to admit students based on their Class 12 marks. But with CUET coming to play, now a candidate's CUET scores are the basis of admission into DU colleges. In 2021, the admission process began in August, but due to delays in the new CUET exam results, the admission process only began on September 12, 2022. Currently, 1.5 lakh students have locked their choice of college and course at DU out of the 2.17 lakh registrations.
DU Admission 2022 is being processed through the CSAS - Common Seat Allocation System. Likewise, it is being conducted in three phases: filling out the CSAS application form, Program selection, preference filling, seat allocation and admission. As of now, admissions are underway for 79 courses at 67 colleges, departments and centres through CSAS. The courses cover 206 combinations of BA programs.
