DU Admission 2022: After CSAS Round 1 Several Top Colleges Report Vacant Seats for Science Courses
After the conclusion of round 1 of the Common Seat Allocation System for DU admission 2022, several colleges reported vacant science seats.
DU Admission 2022: DU admission 2022 for different undergraduate courses in streams such as Science, Arts, and Commerce is underway. However, after the conclusion of round 1 of the Common Seat Allocation System, several colleges reported vacant seats. Most of the colleges reportedly belong to the Science stream. Thus, seats for B.Sc from Miranda House, Gargi College, Hindu College, and Hansraj College are yet to be filled.
Candidates should know that 14 B.Sc(H) seats at Kirori Mal College have gone vacant, whereas 12 seats from Ramjas College for B.Sc(H) Chemistry and Life Sciences. On the other hand, there were 13 seats left empty at Hansraj College for B.Sc (H) zoology. Furthermore, there were 12 seats left empty for B.Sc (H) botany and 10 were left vacant for B.Sc (H) life sciences.

Authorities claim the delay in the admission process is responsible for the vacant science seats in the ongoing DU admission 2022. Moreover, candidates from the Science stream chose engineering or other professional courses over traditional science courses.
Candidates must also note that the DU admission 2022 depends on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores. Furthermore, seat allotment is done through the CSAS portal in several rounds, where the first round is already over. Lastly, according to the official schedule, authorities will release the second merit list on Oct 30.
