GATE Result 2023: IIT Kanpur is set to release the GATE 2023 result on Mar 16, 2023, following which students will be able to download the GATE 2023 scorecard from the official website on Mar 21, 2023. GATE 2023 Result Normalisation Process

The normalisation for GATE 2023 result takes place to derive an impartial score. Also, because the GATE 2023 exam is administered over various slots, the authorities need to calculate the score of candidates on an impartial platform, which is why the normalisation process takes place. However, there is always parity in the normalisation process between single and multiple sessions. 

In the case of single sessions, raw marks are calculated. On the other hand, for multiple sessions, authorities consider the students' actual marks. Therefore, to calculate, authorities have devised a normalisation formula for multiple sessions below.

Students must note that the normalisation process is not practiced during calculation of final marks for GATE result 2023.
