JEE Main 2022 Exam Analysis: Day 5 Shift 2 Paper Analysis & Students’ Reaction

JEE Main 2022 Exam Analysis: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully concluded the second shift of the JEE Main 2022 exam on 27 June. The JEE Main 2022 second shift ran from 3 PM to 6 PM and was conducted over a duration of three hours. Students who took the exam also reported that all the instructions for the exam day were properly followed both inside and outside the testing facility.
Each subject had two sections on the JEE Main 2022 exam. Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) were found in Section A, while questions with numerical answers were found in Section B. Students had to attempt any 5 of the 10 questions in Section B.
JEE Main 2022 Exam Day 5 Shift 2 Paper Analysis
The paper for the second shift on 27 June was moderately difficult. The section-wise difficulty is given below:

Mathematics | Difficult. Mathematical section mostly had questions from Differentiation, Integration, Limits, Straigt Line, Hyperbola, and Parabola. |
Physics | Moderate. There were more formula based questions. Topics like Electric Currents, Rotational Motion, Semiconductors, Thermodynamics, and Mechanics I were covered in the question paper. |
Chemistry | Moderate. There were questions on Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Chemical Reactions. |
Students’ Reaction
Many students stated that shift 2 Mathematics was difficult. However, Physics and Chemistry were moderately difficult. All three exam papers contained direct questions asked by the NCERT.
Students said that more theory-based questions were asked in Chemistry, more conceptual questions were asked in Mathematics, and more formula based questions were asked in Physics.
