JEE Main 2022 Official Answer Key: Past 5 Years’ Release Trends
It is crucial to remember that NTA started the two-session system in 2019. Before that, candidates gave the test in a single session. The previous year’s trends are summarized below:
JEE Main Exam Year | Exam Date | Answer Key Release Date | Difference in Days Between the Exam & the Release of the Answer Key |
2022 (Session 1) | June 23 to 29, 2022 | July 2-3, 2022 (Tentative) | 3-4 days |
2021 (April session) | February 24 to 26, 2021 | March 1, 2021 | 3 days |
2020 (Session 1) | January 6 to 09, 2020 | January 13, 2020 | 4 days |
2019 (Session 1) | January 8 to 12, 2020 | January 15, 2019 | 3 days |
2018 | April 8, 2018 | April 24, 2018 | 16 days |
2017 | April 2, 8 & 9, 2017 | April 19, 2017 | 10 days |
Raising Objections
NTA will offer an objection window with the release of the answer key. This facility may continue to operate for two to three days, possibly until July 6, 2022. Candidates can use this facility to object to any wrong question, option, or answer. To use this service, they would have to pay a certain fee, which will most likely be INR 200 based on information from the previous years.
NTA will consider objections if they seem valid. A candidate whose objections were justified will receive their objection fee back. The exam scores will then be calculated using the final key. Scorecards and the final answer key’s release date will be announced later.
