JEE Main 2023: Bombay High Court Refuses to Postpone Exam, to Be Held From Jan 24 to Jan 31
Bombay High Court has refused to postpone the JEE main 2023 exam. The high court was hearing a petition to postpone the first session scheduled to be held from Jan 24 to 31, 2023.
JEE Main 2023: The Bombay High Court heard a petition to postpone the JEE main 2023 exam due to the clash between the CBSE pre-board exam 2023 dates and JEE main exam dates 2023. However, the Bombay High Court refused the JEE main 2023 postponement stating that "any orders passed to postpone may have a cascading effect."
The argument included the claim that, in the past, NTA had announced the JEE Main exam dates two to three months beforehand. This time, however, students were not given enough time to prepare for the exam as the exam announcement was on such short notice.
Furthermore, the petitioner activist Anubha Srivastava Sahai filed a rejoinder and argued regarding the JEE main 2023 eligibility criteria. Therefore, the next hearing about the eligibility criteria relaxation will be held on Feb 21, 2023.
