The Bombay High Court will hear the plea on postponement of JEE Main 2023 exam scheduled to be held in January, today, Jan 10.
JEE Main 2023: The Bombay High Court will hear the plea on the postponement of JEE Main 2023 exam scheduled to be held in January, today Jan 10, 2023.
The JEE Main 2023 first session is scheduled to be held between Jan 24 and 31, 2023, while the JEE Main 2023 second session is scheduled between Apr 6 and 12, 2023.
Apart from JEE Main 2023 postponement, the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has also requested the National testing Agency (NTA) to remove the 75% eligibility criterion.
Previously, on Jan 4, the matter was heard by the bench comprising Acting Chief Justice of Bombay HC SV Gangarpurwala and Justice Sandeep V Marne who adjourned the case for today, Jan 10.
The Bombay High Court had given the petitioner more time to file the brochure for the JEE Main 2023 exam on record.
The PIL was filed by activist Anubha Srivastava Sahai on Dec 26. It stated that the Class 12 pre-board exams, viva voce of CBSE, ICSE and other state boards are scheduled to be held in January.
The clash between JEE Main 2023 exam and the class 12 pre-board exams will result in less number of students appearing for JEE Main 2023 session 1.
The PIL also mentions that the notification for the JEE Mains exam was issued on short notice and same would cause difficulties for students.
