Candidates can refer to the following points and descriptions to calculate their results.
Normalisation Process – To calculate the percentile, the NTA will consider the highest score in each shift. They have implemented this rule to normalise and ensure fairness in the results announcement. Authorities will give candidates a 100 percentile if they have secured the highest mark in a shift. The NTA will calculate the average score on the basis of lowest marks and highest marks in each Shift. This is a normalisation process where a candidate receives results by fair judgement.
Best Percentile (Shift 1 and Shift 2) – The NTA will take the best and highest score by a candidate between the two shifts. This is the best feature of the JEE Main exam as the candidates get flexibility in performing strategically in the exam and thus receive the best marks.
