JEE Main 2023 Result: Normalisation Process
Since the JEE Main exam is being conducted in different sessions and the difficulty of the exam varies across sessions, the authorities will normalise the scores before announcing the JEE Main 2023 Result. The candidate's normalised Score will indicate the percentage of candidates whose scores are equal to or below the scores of the candidate who scored the highest in that particular session. The following formula will be used for the normalisation process:
Normalised Score = (100 x number of candidates who appeared in the session with raw score equal to or less than the candidate) / total number of candidates who appeared in that session.
The normalised Score of the candidates and the percentage of marks scored by the candidates in the exam will be different.
