JEE Main 2023 Unfair Practices: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will commence the JEE Main 2023 exam for the April session tomorrow, Apr 6, and the exam will conclude on Apr 15.
As the exam commences tomorrow and only a day left for the exam, candidates must check the JEE Main last-minute preparation tips to perform well in the exam.
According to the NTA JEE guidelines released regarding the JEE Main April session exam, chapter 11 of the information bulletin mentions JEE Main 2023 unfair practices that the candidates must be aware of in order to avoid suspension.

JEE Main 2023 Unfair Practices According to NTA
The list of JEE Main unfair practices that a candidate must avoid are listed below.
- Candidates should not possess any item or article which has been prohibited or can be used for unfair practices including any stationery item, communication device, accessories, eatable items, ornaments, or any other material or information relevant or not relevant to the examination in the paper concerned.
- Candidates must be present physically to take the exam. Impersonation is strictly condemned.
- Candidates must not assist other candidates to engage in malpractices, giving or receiving assistance of any kind directly or indirectly or attempting to do so.
- Contacting or communicating or trying to do so with any person, other than the examination staff, during the examination time in the examination centre is strictly prohibited.
- Threatening any of the officials or candidates in the exam hall/centre is offensive.
- Candidates must not manipulate any online documents like Admit Card, Rank Letter, Self Declaration, etc.
- Candidates must not forcefully enter/exit from the examination centre/hall.
- Usage of any smart gadgets like mobile phones/smart watches or gadgets of any sort is not permitted.
- Affixing/uploading of wrong/morphed photographs/signatures on the Application Form/Admit Card/Proforma will not be entertained.
- Any candidate with more than one Application Number (more than one SCORE CARDS) will be treated as UFM, even if found at a later stage, and strict action will be taken against
that Candidate.
JEE Main 2023 Unfair Practices: Consequences
Breaching any of the rules and participating in any of the JEE Main 2023 unfair practices will lead to the following consequences.
- If he/she is caught under JEE Main 2023 unfair practices, they will be booked under the UNFAIR MEANS (UFM) case. The candidate may be debarred for 3 years in the future and
shall also be liable for criminal action and /or any other action as deemed fit. - The JEE Main result 2023 of the candidate(s) who indulge in Unfair means Practices will be cancelled and will not be declared.
