The Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) is held annually for students seeking admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in the state. The Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) organizes it. The JKCET 2022 is scheduled for May 22 and will be offline, i.e., a pen-paper-based exam. The application window, which opened on March 17, 2022, closed on April 21, 2022.
On assessing the applications, the Board found errors in many students’ Annexure A and some application errors in Annexure B. Further, a few applications were discarded due to students not meeting the eligibility criteria. Owing to these errors, the Board opened the JKCET 2022 Form Correction Window on May 7. Applicants need to check the list released by the authorities stating whether their application has errors or not and proceed to rectify them accordingly.
JKCET 2022 Form Correction Window: Important Dates & Events to Follow
The application process involved registration, filling out the form, uploading the required documents, & finally, making the payment. Nonetheless, applicants in the disqualified applications list were given a chance to correct their errors and re-submit their applications. Albeit, students are required to submit the necessary documents by May 17, 2022, physically. Additionally, enlisted below is the schedule with important events leading up to the exam.

JKCET 2022 Form Correction Checklist
Students with errors in Annexure A must submit the correct documents accordingly. Their applications have been disqualified due to deficient specifications or wrong documents submitted. Students with these application errors should keep their rectified documents ready and submit them to the JKBOPEE office by today, May 17. On the other hand, applicants with errors in Annexure B specified the wrong subjects in their applications. Students provided details on Physics, Chemistry, & Biology (PCB). Instead, they were supposed to submit their Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics (PCM) marks.
Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the exam, it is recommended to follow the eligibility criteria for the same. Applicants who do not meet the criteria will have their applications nullified. Check the eligibility criteria for JKCET 2022 below.
- All applicants must be resident members of the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
- Students must have passed class 12 from a recognized board with an aggregate score of 50% or above. However, a minimum score of 40% is acceptable for students under the reserved categories.
- Having PCM subjects in +2 is a prerequisite.
- All applicants must complete 17 years of age before the end of this year (2022).
- This year, even those appearing for class 12 board exams can take the JKCET.
