JoSAA Counselling 2023 Begins from June 19: Check Eligibility Criteria, Documents Required
The authorities will commence the JoSAA 2023 Counselling process from Jun 19, 2023 onwards. Students must check the eligibility criteria and the list of documents required before applying.
JoSAA Counselling 2023: Joint Seat Allocation Authority will commence the JoSAA 2023 Counselling process from Jun 19, 2023, onwards. Therefore, interested candidates wish to apply for the JoSAA Counselling 2023 facility upon its release after checking the eligibility criteria and the list of documents required.
The authorities will be conducting two rounds of mock allotment under the JoSSA counselling process. This way, the candidate's probability of making correct choices for the real allotment rounds will increase.

Eligibility Criteria Under JoSAA Counselling 2023
Students must refer to the below-given qualifications to check the eligibility criteria under JoSAA counselling 2023.
- For the students to get into the NITs, IIITs and GFTIs they must qualify in JEE Main 2023 Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) and/or JEE Main 2023 Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning).
- Based on the JoSAA Counselling eligibility criteria 2023 to get into the Indian Institute of Technology (any IIT) the students must have qualified for JEE Advanced 2023.

Documents Required For IITS
The list of documents required for IITS under JoSAA counselling 2023 is given below.
- JEE Advanced Admit Card 2023
- Two passport-size photographs
- Undertaking by the candidate as per the given format
- Passport – for foreign nationals / OCI certificate or PIO card if applicable
- Date of birth proof [Class X marks sheet or any other similar certificate]
- Provisional seat allotment letter
- Proof of seat acceptance fee payment – E-challan or net banking transaction
- Category certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST) if applicable and as per format
- Class XII (or equivalent) board marksheet.
- Class XII Pass certificate (if available)
- Photo identity card (issued by govt. agency) or Photo ID issued by last attended school OR Class XII admit card
- Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable
Documents Required for NITs, IITs and GFTIS
The list of documents required for NITs, IITs and GFTIS under JoSAA counselling 2023 is given below.
- JEE Main 2023 Admit Card
- Three passport-size photographs identical to the one uploaded during JEE Main 2023 registration
- National Open School pass-out aspirants must bring proof of place of examination centre of the final examination for the state code.
- Provisional seat allotment letter
- Category certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST), if applicable as per the given format
- Date of birth proof (Class X marks sheet or any other similar certificate)
- Passport – Indian nationals who passed the qualifying examination from Nepal/Bhutan or an institution abroad
- Registration-cum-locked choices for seat allotment
- Candidate’s Undertaking as per the given format
- OCI certificate or PIO card if applicable
- Fee Acceptance Receipt (Echallan /Netbanking)
- Medical certificate as per the given format
- Photo identity card (issued by govt. agency) OR Photo ID issued by last attended school OR Class XII admit card
- Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable
- Class XII (or equivalent) board marksheet. If available, pass the certificate
- JEE Main 2023 Score Card
Note that the aspirants will be assigned seats based on their merit, preferences, and the availability of seats. Moreover, the physical verification process will commence on the first day of JoSAA 2023 choice filling and will conclude on the last day of JoSAA Counselling 2023.
The JEE Advanced 2023 exam will be held on Jun 4, 2023. Students attempting the exam must remember to carry their hall ticket as they will not be permitted to enter the exam premises otherwise. Additionally, they should carry passport-size photographs and photo I'd proof for reference.
