Tie-Breaking Criteria of KCET 2022
A tie-breaker rule implies when two or more candidates achieve the same marks in the exam. Here are some of the ways in which KEA breaks the tie:
Tie Breaking Policy for B.Arch
- If students have obtained the same marks in NATA, then the merit is determined based on the marks secured in Mathematics in the qualifying tests.
- If the tie persists, then the age of the candidate is taken into consideration, and the elder candidate is allocated the higher rank.
Tie Breaking Policy for B.Tech/Other Courses
- The first preference is given to candidates with high scores in Biology/Mathematics.
- If the tie persists, then the students’ marks in Chemistry/ Physics are considered.
- If the tie is still not cleared, then the marks secured in respective subjects on the qualifying exam are taken into account.
- As a last resort, authorities consider the age of the candidates, and the elder candidate is given a higher rank.
