KEA Responds: Here's the Reason Why Your Ranks Are Missing

After protests, KEA has finally responded to the matter. Students who entered their 11-digit registration number instead of the 6-digit PU number have ranks missing on their scorecards. If students cannot see their rank even after using the PU number, then the KEA will assist them. The authorities will release a new link where students must re-upload their class 12 marks, and their ranks will be visible on the scorecards within a few days.

KCET 2022: Tie-Breaking Criteria

When two candidates get the same entrance test score, the KEA uses the following procedure as a tie-breaker.

For B.Arch

• If students secure the same scores in their NATA results, their Mathematics section score is considered to assess them. The higher-scoring student in Mathematics gets the edge.
• However, if they secure the same score in mathematics, then KEA gives preference to the elder candidate.

For B.Tech & Other Programs

• Weightage is given to Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics; in that order.
• Albeit, if a tie between students persists, then KEA accounts for their marks in these subjects in the qualifying exam.
• Furthermore, if the tie remains, then once again, the older student gets the advantage.
