The exam pattern for the Maharashtra HSC Physics Question Paper 2023 was as follows: 

• The exam duration was 3 hours, and the maximum mark was 70
• The paper was divided into four sections, A, B, C and D.
• Section A, question 1 contained MCQ-type questions, each carrying one mark. There was a total of 10 questions.
• Section A, question 2 contained 8 very short answer type questions, each carrying two marks, making the total marks in section 26. 
• Section B contained 12 short answer type questions, each carrying two marks. Candidates had to attempt any out of the 12, so the marks in the section were 16.
• Section C contained another set of 12 short answer questions, and candidates had to choose any 8. Each question carried three marks, and the marks in the section were 24.
• Section D consisted of 5 long answer-type questions, and candidates were to attempt any 4, with each question carrying four marks, making the total marks in section 16.
