Mangalore University Admission 2023: Dual Degrees in UG, PG Courses to Be Launched Next Year

Mangalore University Admission 2023: Mangalore University Students will have the opportunity to pursue dual degrees in Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses from 2023-24. It is now up to the student to choose if they are willing to pursue an individual or dual degree. Irrespective of their choice, they will not be violating eligibility conditions for Mangalore University admission in 2023. This initiative of the University is in line with UGC guidelines and National Education Policy-2020. The guidelines stress the need to facilitate multiple pathways to learning. It is notified that the details on the dual degree will be in next year’s brochure.

Mangalore University Admission 2023: Objective of Offering a Dual Degree

Vice-Chancellor P S Yadapadithaya chaired the meeting to discuss pursuing two academic programs simultaneously. He approved the guidelines and said that it had been done with the aim of multidisciplinary and holistic education. It will offer students a range of disciplines, including professional technical and vocational subjects. Additionally, he said that the dual program would help students simultaneously pursue two physical undergraduate or postgraduate programs or a combination with online/open and distance learning courses. Furthermore, the University aims to offer a range of disciplines, including sciences, social sciences, arts, humanities, languages and technologies, to students through Mangalore University Admission 2023.

Moreover, last year, the UGC directed varsities to develop a framework for granting maternity leaves to female students. In the same zest, the council approved maternity leave of 240 days for women students. On the occasion of Dussehra, the University will be closed from September 29 to October 3, 2022. However, It will reopen on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. The same has been announced in a notice which is uploaded online.
