MBBS Admission 2023: Applications Submitted after Sep 30 to Not Be Considered Valid by NMC
The commission has made the decision to direct the central authorities, state authorities and medical colleges, to adhere to the counselling schedule and not consider any MBBS admission 2023 form submitted after Sep 30 valid.
MBBS Admission 2023: The National Medical Commission has decided to direct all stakeholders, such as the central authorities, state authorities, and medical colleges, to adhere to the MBBS Counselling 2023 schedule. Therefore, interested candidates must check the official website and adhere to the timelines for MBBS Admission 2023.
The NMC officials have listed out the student details that are to be submitted by the college. They also reminded the colleges that MBBS admissions 2023 must be held with the NMC Act and NEET-based selection process that is notified by the Graduate Medical Education Regulations 2023.
Several states, such as Maharashtra, Bihar, and West Bengal, had held the NEET UG counselling 2023 process beyond the cut-off date, i.e., Sep 30, 2023. Owing to the same, NMC has asked all medical colleges to submit the details of all students admitted in the first-year MBBS course for the academic year 2023-24 by today, Oct 20, 2023.
The NMC officials further stated that "Any counselling carried out by the mentioned authorities beyond the prescribed schedule will be deemed invalid. Students admitted through such counselling will be discharged immediately."
Additionally, the NMC states that any Counselling process that is held beyond the cut-off date violates the notice issued by the NMC. It was also in violation of the judgments passed by the Supreme Court and, therefore, invalid.
