MHT CET 2022 Engineering Paper Delayed Due to Clash with JEE, NEET
The Maharashtra government has postponed the MHT CET 2022 engineering paper due to clash with JEE & NEET. New schedule will arrive shortly.
The Maharashtra government will postpone the engineering MHT CET 2022, as per the announcement on Thursday, April 21. The authorities have postponed the exam to prevent a clash with NEET and JEE. The Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister, Uday Samant stated on his official Twitter handle that “The CET is postponed to August due to JEE and NEET.” Earlier, the authorities were going to conduct the MHT CET 2022from June 3 to June 12, 2022.
Schedule Changed due to NEET & JEE
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) will have two sessions. The concerned authorities will conduct Session I as well as Session II on June 29, 2022, and July 30, 2022. Meanwhile, the administration will conduct NEET 2022 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) on July 17, 2022. The administration is planning to conduct the MHT CET 2022 after both these exams are over. Until now, the government has not announced the final exam date.
Students must remember that the authorities have postponed only the engineering paper. They conduct the other Maharashtra Common Entrance Tests as planned earlier.
MHT CET 2022
The Maharashtra government conducts MHT CET or Maharashtra Common Entrance Test every year. It allows for admission into courses such as Bachelors in Technology & Bachelors in Pharmacy. They conduct the exam in groups. The first group consists of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB). Meanwhile, the second group has Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
The syllabus specified is based on the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education syllabus. About 80% of the syllabus will be based on Class 12. Meanwhile, the remaining percentage of the syllabus will be based on the Class 11 Maharashtra board.
