NEET 2021: Check the Exam Schedule and Exam Pattern

The National Testing Agency, also known as the NTA, has released the official exam dates for the NEET 2021 online. The candidates can check out the NEET exam schedule at the official website (neet.nta.nic.in).

As per the official timeline, the NEET exam will be held on 12 September 2021, in a pen and paper-based mode across the country. Authorities have also released the NEET application form along with the official brochure with some major changes. In addition, the last date to register for the NEET exam is 6 August 2021.

NEET 2021 Exam Pattern

Candidates appearing for NEET 2021 must check the exam pattern discussed below:

• The number of questions: The NEET question paper will consist of 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. However, the candidates will only have to attempt 180 questions of their choice. The syllabus will be the same as that for classes 11 and 12.

• Bifurcation in the sections: Each subject – Physics, Chemistry, and Biology – will have two sections. Section A will consist of 35 questions, while Section B will feature 15 questions. Candidates will have the option to attempt 10 out of 15 questions from Section B.

• Marking scheme: Candidates will get 4 marks for each correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for an incorrect response.
