The Indian Ministry of Education has announced the decision to open a NEET 2021 exam centre in Dubai. Earlier in the month, the ministry announced its decision to conduct the Indian medical entrance exam in Kuwait. This change aims to facilitate the furtherance of education for the Indian community in the Middle East.
HRD Secretary Amit Khare has commented on the expansion initiative in a letter to the Foreign Secretary for the Ministry for External Affairs. As quoted, “The National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to create one more centre in Dubai. This is in addition to the one already created in Kuwait city during the year 2021.” Secretary Khare added, “The Indian community in the Gulf countries may appropriately be informed about this. I would also be grateful if the Kuwait and Dubai embassies extend their full cooperation to the NTA in the conduct of the exam fairly and securely.”
The board will conduct the entrance examination in 13 languages this year. These languages include Hindi, Punjabi, Assamese, Bengali, Odia, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Urdu, and English. Among the total languages, the NTA has recently added both Punjabi and Malayalam.

More than 13.66 lakh candidates wrote the previous year’s exam, of whom 7,71,500 obtained qualifying marks. Earlier, officials scheduled the NEET 2021 to take place on 1 August.
