NEET Counselling 2022: Check Central Universities Eligibility Criteria For UG Counselling

NEET Counselling 2022: Counselling for NEET 2022 will commence soon. The MCC is yet to announce the dates for the NEET 2022 Counselling. There will be 2 rounds and one mop-up round for NEET Counselling 2022.
The Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) for the National Medical Council will conduct the counselling for the All India Quota(AIQ). Aspirants can check the details and updates for the NEET Counselling 2022 for the AIQ on the ‘Online NEET – Medical Counselling’ portal of the MCC. The respective state councils will conduct the admission under the state quota. For details and updates regarding the counselling for seats under the state quota, candidates may check the official website of the respective conducting authority for the state.

NEET Counselling 2022 For Central Universities
MBBS and BDS seats under the Central and Deemed Universities that are part of the AIQ will be filled through NEET Counselling. Other seats that are part of the AIQ include 15% of State Govt Seats and also 100% seats of AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC and AFMC.
The NEET Counselling 2022 for Central Universities will take place in four rounds. There will be rounds 1 and 2, the Mop-up round and stray vacancy round. The MCC will conduct the first three rounds in online mode. The central university/institute will conduct the stray vacancy round.
Eligibility Criteria for NEET Counselling 2022 at Central Universities
Aspirants may note the following are the criterion for admission through NEET Counselling 2022 at the Central Universities:
- Delhi University (DU): The Medical Colleges that are part of the DU are Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC), University College Of Medical Sciences (UCMS) and Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC). 15% of the seats are for All India Quota. Meanwhile, 85% of the seats are institutional quota seats for candidates who have passed their 10+2 in Delhi.
- Aligarh Muslim University (AMU): 50% of the seats are reserved for AMU school candidates studying there for the last 3 years under Institutional reservation. The remaining 50% of seats are open to All India candidates.
- BHU: 100% of seats are part of the AIQ
- Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi: Out of the 50 seats, 47 seats are open to All India quota candidates. Meanwhile, the remaining 3 BDS seats are under the internal quota of JMI. Those students who passed their 10+ 2 from Jamia Schools can apply for an internal quota.
- Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) & Safdarjung Hospital (SJH): 15% of the total seat are part of the AIQ. The balance seats are part of the Institute Quota for students who have passed their 10+2 from Delhi.
