NEET UG 2022- Over 16 Lakh Candidates Appeared on July 17; Exam Held at 3,570 Exam Centres

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2022) was conducted using pen and paper mode on July 17 by the National Testing Agency (NTA). According to the official data, the NEET UG 2022 exam had an attendance record of about 95%.
Several candidates had previously filled social media with requests to postpone NEET 2022. However, the NTA considered the request to reschedule NEET 2022 due to the flood situation in many cities, as well as the delay caused due to NEET 2021 counselling. NEET UG 2022 Statistics
For NEET 2022, a total of 18,72,341 candidates had registered, of whom 10.64 were women, 8.07 were males, 771 were foreigners, 910 were NRIs, and 647 were OCI. Despite numerous protests to reschedule NEET UG, 1614777 candidates appeared for the exam.
NEET 2022 on July 17 was conducted in 3570 exam centres in 497 Indian cities and 14 foreign countries.
Colombo, Kathmandu, Bangkok, Kuala Lampur, Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Sharjah, Kuwait City, Doha, Manama, Riyadh, and Lagos are among the foreign cities which conducted NEET UG 2022.
52,351 candidates appeared for NEET UG 2022 in Jaipur, which is considered the highest compared to any other exam centres.
On the other hand, only 105 candidates appeared for NEET UG 2022 in West Sikkim, which is considered as lowest compared to any other exam centres.
As far as abroad exam centres are concerned, a maximum of 646 candidates appeared in Dubai. On the other hand, Thailand witnessed the minimum candidates, with only 6.
