NExT Medical Exam 2023 to Be Held Soon: Check NExT Exam Pattern, Marking Scheme
The authorities are expected to conduct the NExT medical exam 2023 soon. The NExT 2023 exam will replace the NEET PG, and FMGE exams.
NExT Exam Pattern: The National Exit Test authorities are expected to conduct the NExT medical exam 2023 soon. So, the candidates who wish to attempt the exam must check the NExT exam pattern to prepare accordingly.
Students must remember that the NExT 2023 exam will replace the NEET PG and FMGE exams. Moreover, the NExT exam MBBS will be held for the students to apply for admission to postgraduate courses.

NExT Exam Pattern
Students must refer to the points given below to check the NExT exam pattern.
- The NExT exam will consist of two parts; 1 and 2.
- The NExT exam 1 will be theory-based and will be held in online mode.
- Further, in the NExT exam 1, a total of 540 MCQ-based questions will be asked from 19 subjects.
- Subsequently, the NExT 2 will be held only after the internship
- Furthermore, the NExT 2 practical exam will be held by respective state colleges/universities.
- After that, the score of the NExT Paper 1 exam will be valid for 2 years to qualify for the Paper-2 practical exam.
Note: The NExT 1 exam by the national medical council tests the theoretical knowledge of the participating candidates.
The students must score a minimum mark to qualify for the exam. Further, the marks in NExT 1 will be calculated as a whole number which serves as the Raw Scores with appropriate decimals. Furthermore, the corresponding percentages with appropriate decimals can also be calculated.
Additionally, the NExT 2 Exam results will be declared as only Pass / Fail per the acquisition of appropriate competence. Note that the NExT Exam Pattern will comprise six subjects for the NExT MBBS Exam; Medicine & allied subjects, Paediatrics, Surgery & allied subjects, Otorhinolaryngology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Ophthalmology.
