NIT Rourkela to Begin CSAB 2022 Counselling Registrations From Oct 24

CSAB Counselling 2022: NIT, Rourkela, will host the centralised seat allocation process through CSAB counselling 2022. Thus, opening doors for admissions in several UG courses at NITs, IIEST, IIITs, SPAs and a few more GFTIs under the NIT+ System. NIT will also co-host the JoSAA counselling 2022 session.
Although JoSAA counselling is for admissions into IITs and the NIT+ system, CSAB counselling 2022 specifically applies to NIT+. This takes place in two phases once the JoSAA counselling is over. The aim is to fill empty seats of the NIT+ system, if any. However, JoSAA will be conducting a total of 6 counselling rounds.
Therefore, interested students may enrol for CSAB counselling 2022 from October 24. Authorities believe that around 2.2 lakh candidates will appear for the JoSAA and CSAB special rounds. In addition, approximately 54,477 seats are available for JoSAA.

Official Statement on CSAB Counselling 2022
As per the official notice, GOI has a scheme of reserving seats in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy courses across AICTE, NE, and UT-approved degree-level technical institutions. The CSAB-NEUT rounds will take place to allocate seats under the scheme of reservation by GOI. Institutes which do not have provisions to support engineering courses also fall under this scheme. In addition, supernumerary seats for girls are marked to confirm that percentage of female students should not be less than 20% in 2022.
In addition, a few more changes are concerning CSAB counselling 2022 this year. Firstly, they have fixed multi-lingual phone lines in Hindi, English, Bengali, Odia, Marathi, Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, Malayalam etc., to help students and parents through the counselling process. Besides, they have added multi-lingual help documents, immersive readers, dedicated helpdesks etc. Furthermore, authorities have established 44 help centres in all states and UTs, to help students in English and local languages. The team also focuses on helping people from rural places who face a language barrier but intends to study at NITs and other institutes.
