Patna University PG Admissions Process Begins Today

Patna University will likely release the PG application form today, 2 July 2021, according to a Firstpost report. The registration process will facilitate admissions into PG programmes during the 2021-2022 academic year. Thus, interested and eligible applicants can register for Patna University PG admissions until 17 July 2021. However, the university advises candidates to read through the postgraduate course admissions eligibility criteria prior to applying. Additionally, university officials remind applicants that the eligibility criteria required vary depending on each respective programme. 

Interested applicants fill out the 2021 postgraduate registration form, which will be available on the official website (patnauniversity.ac.in). While applying, candidates must enter personal, academic, and communication details on the form. Then, applicants must upload the stipulated documents within the prescribed format. After the Patna University PG registration form is completed, candidates should pay the requisite application fee online. The application fee amount for postgraduate registration is INR 500. Hence, applicants can complete payment via credit card, debit card, or net banking. 

Patna University PG Selection Process

The university is yet to decide on the admissions selections framework. As stated by the PU Dean of Student Welfare, Anil Kumar, “We are yet to decide the mode of selection as we are waiting for Raj Bhawan’s direction.” Thus, it is still unknown whether there will be an entrance examination. The university will likely wait to verify the plausibility of entrance exams given the pandemic. 

However, it is a certainty that officials will release all updates regarding the above on the university’s official website. Additionally, the university plans to publish a merit list shortly after the release of results. Afterwards, shortlisted students will proceed to the counselling phase of the admissions process. The 2021 Patna University selection process will offer admissions to 43 undergraduate and 51 postgraduate programmes on the main campus and affiliated colleges.
