PMSSS Registration 2022 will Continue till August 16: Check Details Here

PMSSS Registrations 2022 – The Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) registration for the academic year 2022-23 for students of Jammu and Kashmir has been extended until August 16, 2022. Meanwhile, the deadline for verification of documents in the registration form by the nearest verification centres has also been extended until August 18, 2022. All eligible and interested students may register for PMSSS on the official website, i.e., aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in.

The implementation of PMSSS in Jammu and Kashmir is handled by a special Jammu and Kashmir Cell in All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The scholarship enables students to pursue undergraduate studies outside the Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir Cells are responsible for the proper implementation of the scheme to fulfil the objectives of PMSSS.

Beware of Fake Information

In addition to this, the official notification of the PMSSS registration extension reads, “ All the PMSSS aspirants are hereby informed that various misinformation/rumor/propaganda regarding admission, registration, qualification, etc. are being spread through social media about PMSSS. Students are advised not to believe in such information and visit only AICTE web portal. The complaints in this regard may be sent to secretary, higher education, government of J&K and Secretary, higher education, government of Ladakh.”

PMSSS 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The official notice from the concerned department of PMSSS mentioned the eligibility criteria that applicants must meet for the registration.

• Only those students who have passed class 12th from the Jammu and Kashmir Board or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board no earlier than 2020-21 or appeared in 2021-22, can apply for the scholarship.
• The PMSSS scholarship will be provided for courses such as general degree, professional (engineering, nursing, pharmacy, hotel management, architecture, etc., and medical, Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent.
• Both academic fees, as well as hostel fees, are adjusted under the scholarship scheme.
• In case of academic fee for general degree courses, students will receive financial aid of INR 30,000 per annum.
• In case of academic fee for the professional courses, they will receive up to INR 1.25 lakh per annum.
• For medical programmes, students will be provided up to INR 3 lakh per annum.
• Students studying in any courses mentioned will also get financial assistance of up to INR 1 lakh per annum on the hostel fee.
