Sri Ramaswamy Memorial Institute of Science and Technology was founded in 1985 as SRM Engineering College in Chennai. SRMIST conducts SRMJEEE (SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination) to allow entrance into various institutes across the country. The institute has seven campuses across the nation. The main campus is in Chennai, among two others in Tamil Nadu. SRM has one campus in Delhi, Sikkim, Haryana, and Andhra Pradesh.
