NEET UG 2022: NEET Aspirants have set a social media movement in motion with their trending hashtag #NEETUGSECONDATTEMPT on Twitter. NEET aspirants further demand a re-examination due to discrepancies and irregularities this year.
The exam took place on July 17, earlier last month. Moreover, this year a swooping 18 lakh students appeared for NEET UG Exam.
However, the NTA has not issued any statement on re-NEET on their official website neet.nta.nic.in as of now.
Aspirants across the country have taken social media by storm while highlighting issues like the rigging of NEET paper. Although, some want the re-NEET to improve their scores. The protests have launched online campaigns, and some also went to the extent of writing to ministers. Despite the persistent attempts by the students, the exam still took place on July 17. Therefore, students are again demanding #NEETUGSecondAttempt on Twitter.
Despite all the noise on social media, NEET is expected to release the answer key and results soon.

Why Are Students Demanding a Re-NEET?
The students have claimed that a lack of adequate time for preparation is a primary reason for their demand. They have also pointed out that they should get the chance of a second attempt like JEE aspirants. The students had earlier demanded a 40-day postponement, stating they did not have sufficient time to prepare. They also showed concerns about other examinations like CUET clashing with NEET.
Nevertheless, over 18 lakh students appeared for the NEET UG entrance exam for admission in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, BHMS and other UG medical courses across Medical, Dental, AYUSH, and other colleges, Universities, Institutes like AIIMS and JIPMER in India.
