The NTA (National Testing Agency) will soon announce results for the UG NEET 2021 in the form of a scorecard. The scorecard, topper’s list, and cut-off requirements will be available entirely online on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. The board has not yet announced a specific release date or timing for the marks, but it most likely will be released today. However, NTA representatives have affirmed that the declaration will occur as soon as possible. After declaration, candidates can access their scores through the official website’s results portal. To do so, applicants must first log in by providing credentials such as their application number, date of birth, and password.
Additionally, the NTA will release the finalised answer key for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2021 prior to the publication of results. Officials conducted the undergraduate medical exam in an offline testing mode on 12 September 2021. The results will state important details such as overall score, subject-wise marks, qualification status, and All India Rank (AIR). This year, qualified candidates can obtain admissions to 52,720 AYUSH, 26,949 dental, 83,075 medical, and 603 veterinary undergraduate seats offered by affiliated institutes across India.
Steps to View UG NEET 2021 Results
Marks from the Undergraduate National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2021 will be available online soon. Therefore, candidates can refer to the following instructions post-publication in order to download their scorecards.
- Go to the official website – neet.nta.nic.in
- Then, scroll down and click on the results link available on the home page after release.
- The website will then display a login portal.
- Log in by entering your registration number, date of birth, and password in the given fields.
- Click on the “Submit” button to proceed.
- The candidate’s marks sheet will then appear on the screen.
- Verify and download the scorecard for future reference.

20:45 | 31 October 2021: Candidates ask NTA about NEET 2021 Results
With no notifications from the NTA about the release of the results, some of the candidates took to sending requests and queries to the NTA asking about the same. Although we do not know when the results are going to come out, we do expect that the results and final answer keys will be out at any time.

Participants were required to answer 180 questions out of a total question amount of 200 in the undergraduate NEET 2021. Officials will utilise negative marking and will not consider blank questions for the calculation of scores. Therefore, each correct answer is worth four marks, while incorrect answers will deduct one mark.

The National Testing Agency has announced that the undergraduate NEET 2021 cut-off is 50th percentile for general category applicants. However, the SC/ST/OBC category benchmark is 40th, while the general-PH category minimum is 45th percentile.
12:01 | 30 October 2021: Bombay HC Petition Overruled By Supreme Court
The Supreme Court later overruled the petition requesting the postponement of the declaration of the result on 28 October 2021. SC officials have vetoed the proposition, stating that “the board cannot delay scores for 16 lakh participants for the sake of two candidates…” Officials will make further decisions regarding the two petitioners after the Diwali holidays.

The Bombay HC had heard a petition requesting the delay of results in favour of two students that experienced difficulties during the exam. In response, the National Testing Agency stated that scorecards are ready for release, and that any delay is due to the state’s High Court.
